Afrobeat top star Burna Boy seems not to be happy about people’s doubt of him not being the best after Fela.
The African Giant lost his cool on twitter when a fan tweeted, stating “Where were you since 2010 to 2018, I mean where the f%ck are you when afrobeat was struggling to hit mainstream? The BEST paved way for you. You came in when the table has already been set and here you are claiming the BEST since Fela”
Burna Boy replies “FACT, I always knew I was the BEST and I am the BEST, everyone you think is the best KNOWS imthe BEST since FELA Kuti. But Timayatimaya told me something a longtime ago that made me not scared about being best. The world can do without the best, the world will still spin regardless”.
Burna boy blew into the industry with his evergreen single titled “Like to party” and also “Tonight”, 2014 he released “Don Gordon” which was a major hit and alongside Rock star, Check and Balance as well respectively.
2015 Burna Boy released Rizzla and Soke, Pree Me in the following year and in 2015, he released couple of songs including the most hit “Hallelujah”
In 2018, Burna Boy took to another level with songs like Heaven’s Gate, Ye, Gbona, On D Low and Killin Dem of which almost all were major hits and topping charts both locally and internationally.
Burna Boy released his recent album “The African Giant” which features a lot of African musician and has had the best track records after it’s released.
Burna Boy was the current to win the Best International Act at the 2019 BET Awards, also won in addition Best African Act at the MTV EMA awards.
His album “African Giant” was nominated in the Best World Album category with music heavyweights in the same category.
